Poll: Donations?

Recently, I’ve been thinking if I should upgrade my site so I can have more features. So far its only a free site (pretty nice right?) , but its still good. I don’t really want to spend too much money on this site, since its actually extra work for me xD, but I decided to let you donate somehow if we get more views. All the donations will go to the site and making it better. 😀

Please vote on this poll and tell me if this is a good idea.

Here is an example of how much it would cost to upgrade my site.

Add a Domain

You’ve built your brand. Now give it an address.

Registration $5.00
Mapping $9.97

The Domain Mapping Upgrade allows you to use a custom domain name, such as example.com, instead of a standard WordPress.com domain name—like example.wordpress.com—for your blog.

Domain name registration plus domain mapping costs $14.97 ($9.97 for mapping, $5 for registration) per year, per domain.

If you already have registered a domain, mapping is just $9.97 per year, per domain.

The three magic words: upload, store, share.

The VideoPress upgrade allows you to host and play beautiful, streaming, HD video right from your WordPress.com blog. VideoPress supports many filetypes and codecs.

Your blog comes with 3 gigabytes of space. To get even more room to upload videos and other media, purchase the Space Upgrade.

Custom CSS

Your blog is your home. Why not paint the walls?

$14.97 USD per year

$0.04 per day

The CSS Upgrade allows you to use your own CSS code to customize the appearance of your blog. CSS allows you to change fonts, colors, borders, backgrounds, and even the layout of the blog.

With the CSS Upgrade, you’ll be able to take any of our 70+ themes and give it a little bit of style, or completely overhaul the design. All of your changes are saved, so if you don’t like your changes, you can easily revert to a previous revision. Please note that the CSS Upgrade does not allow you to upload templates or custom themes.

Space Upgrades

Extra shelves for your media library.

5GB $19.97
15GB $49.97
25GB $89.97

If you find yourself running out of space for your media files, it’s easy to add more storage to your blog. You can add 5, 15, or 25 gigabytes to your blog, so you’ll have all the room you need to host tons of photos, docs, and music.

Other benefits of more storage space:

  • Allows you to upload additional filetypes, like MP3s.
  • Perfect for podcasts—fast storage with permalinks.
  • Your files stay around as long as your blog does.
  • We don’t limit your bandwith.
  • Your files won’t feel crowded.

Because your message is yours.

We sometimes display discreet AdSense advertisements on your blog—this keeps free features free!

The ad code tries very hard not to intrude on your design or show ads to logged-in readers, which means only a very small percentage of your page views will actually contain ads.

To eliminate ads on your blog entirely this is the upgrade you want.

Bascially, if you do get oh, $5 a monnth, and another $20 a year, go move to WordPress.org and import this all.

I would also add advertisements for the website, you’ve got a pretty good amount of hits.
